課程概述 |
系統生物技術
This course is designed for graduate students from life sciences, chemical and physical sciences and engineering with keen interest in quantitative analysis and design of biological systems. The advances in genomic science and the advances in high throughput transcriptional and translational analytical tools have made biological research data multi--‐dimensional; one can possibly relate biological processes at molecular level to physiological event at cellular level or even at the organisms or population levels. The exploitation of those advances also requires us to deploy new analysis tools that were noted in different disciplines. |
課程目標 |
This course aims to introduce methodology for analyzing data attained at a genomic level to their integration for interpreting physiological events. It emphasizes the conceptual appreciation of the quantification of molecular event that constitutes “chemical processes” in living systems.

課程要求 |
Handouts will be provided, and selected articles will be assigned. In the second half of the semester, students are divided into groups to work on a project, The project topic will be decided by the group and the responsible lecturer. |
